Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) occurs when microorganisms evolve to withstand drugs designed to kill them, rendering routine infections difficult to treat. For a densely populated, livestock-rich and health-inequitable country like India, AMR poses a silent pandemic threatening health, food security and economic growth.
